Ms. Anuradha Shetty, Head of the Department and Assistant Professor, Department of Rural Development participated and secured Grade A in an online Certification Course on Intellectual Property Rights and Innovation conducted from 29th April to 2nd May 2020.
This Online Workshop was facilitated with Google Meet by World Intellectual Property Rights Organisation (WIPO) – Technology and Innovation and Support Centre (TISC), Patent Information Center (PIC), Karnatake State Council for Science and Technology, Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru and Cell for IPR Promotion and Management (CIPM), Department for Promotion and Management & Internal Trade, Government of India, New Delhi.
This Workshop dealt with Patenting and procedures, Trademarks, Industrial Designs, Geographical Indications, Copyrights Registrations and Ethical Exceptions to Research, by experts.
The Resource Persons were Mr. H Hemanth Kumar, Executive Secretary of KSCST, IISc, Bengaluru, Mr. Shubham Istrewal, Assistant Manager, CIPAM, Department of Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, New Delhi, B. Vivek Anand Sagar, IP Attorney and Project Associate, PIC, Dr. Sarasija Padmanabhan, Patent Agent and Advisory Member PIC, KSCST, Dr. Nandini Dholepet, Mr. Kodandaram MG, IRS Rtd National Academy of Customs, Indirect Taxes and Narcotics, Bengaluru. Participation was assessed based on online quiz and exam.
