Creating New Business Paradigms – The HR Way
A two day UGC Sponsored National level conference on “Creating New Business Paradigms – The HR Way” on March 27th and 28th organised School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya, Mangalore was a great success.
The participants from 22 colleges across the country returned with a rich experience of the Conference. It provided a good platform for the students interested in Human Resource Management to exchange their views and to open their for new horizons.
Dr. Mohan Alva, Chairman, Alvas Education Foundation, Moodbidri has inaugurated the conference. Speaking after the inauguration he said that we all are the citizens of great nation but we have great differences too. These differences are visible when we see rich and poor, educated and illiterates. We have everything but our people live as if there is nothing with them. This aspect is not so much evident in the west. It is the effective utilization of human factor and formation of human factor in our people this difference may be undone. Therefore the conference like these should kindle kind of fire in the minds of people to bring up healthy children and contribute to build healthy society. He also stressed on evil practice of acquiring wealth at the cost of destroying and deteriorating relationships at all levels of the society.
The guest of Honour Dr. P.Ilango, Professor, Department of Social Work, Mangalore University lauded the efforts of the institute in bringing out professionals in the field of management, psychiatry and community development. Stressing on the concept of educating and empowering youth, he opined that it is possible to bring peace and harmony in the society.
Mr.S.K. Rai, Managing Director, Soft Works Consultancy Pvt Ltd, Bangalore spoke on the occasion and said that conferences like this should result in bringing transformation in the minds of young students about bringing in changes in our outlook, the way we treat others. Politeness and feeling of gratitude in each other will help individuals to formulate themselves as better individuals.
Presiding over the function Dr. Jacinta D Souza, Former principal, ssw emphasized on the business factor of human resources which has taken a different turn from a supporting function to a strategic contributing function of business in an enterprise.
