Mental health is just as important as physical health, so the college provides confidential access to counsellors at the ‘Sparsh Counselling centre’ and ‘Manah-Swasthya’ as well as other medical professionals on campus and off.
Students have access to health care at the college, which includes first-aid and other basic services. Furthermore,
- A first-aid kit is available in the college office.
- A sofa cum bed (BA block) in a staff room is accessible where help is immediately offered.
- The first-aid kit is available in the gymnasium.
- A bed with basic facilities and access to the washroom is available at the girls’ common room (BSW block).
- A sofa cum bed and a medical kit is available in the M.Sc (CFS) department.
- An Annual medical check-up is conducted for students.
- Doctors are available on call whenever the need arises. Besides, a multi-specialty hospital is located 500 metres away from the college campus.
- Financial support is extended by raising funds to meet the medical expenses of students/staff.
- A wellness hour was introduced in the college timetable during the academic year 2017-2018 where students were free to choose any sport, meet their mentors and the like.
- A dental camp for BA/BSW students was organized on 12th December 2017 in the college auditorium.
- In June 2019, the college's Youth Red Cross and NSS units, in collaboration with Fr. Muller's Charitable Hospital and Red is Blood Kerala Charitable Trust, collected twenty units of blood from college staff and students at a blood donation camp.
