Forensis forum of the Post Graduate Department of Criminology and Forensic Science had organized ‘Skit Competition: A Platform to Showcase Team Work’ on 15th September 2022 at 2pm. The main purpose of this activity was to give an opportunity for the interaction with each other, to build a team work between the Juniors and Seniors, to build confidence, showcase talents and presentation skills. The students were divided into 4 groups consisting of both first and second years, each group was given a topic relevant to the field such as Prevention of Cyber Crime, Sexual harassment in workplace, Substance abuse and Motor Vehicle Act.
Students were asked to cover the topic with important elements during the presentation of play such as the concept, causes, impact, relevant laws and preventive measures. The First year students were asked to lead the group in order to develop their leadership qualities. Mr. Roshan D’Souza, Ms. Bindiya T and Mr. Joel Joseph, Asst. Professors of the Departemnt were the judges for the competition.
The winners of the competition were announced and appreciated for their efforts for putting up best performance within the prescribed time limit. The judges expressed their satisfaction over the performance of all students, their active participation, and interest. They also advised the students to perform with positive spirit in the future events. Students stated that the competition helped them to interact and to know each other, develop their communication skills, leadership qualities and provided an opportunity to display their talents. Altogether, 36 students and four faculties were present during the competition.
