Holistic Well Being (Counselling) Forum Events

Ms. Rajani Gugyal, student of 2nd year M.Sc counseling, School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya, conducted a Group session on Gender Sensitivity for 35 PG students of Canara Degree College, Mangalore on 17th February 2022.

The aim of the session was to make the members aware of Gender Sensitivity and to break the stereotypes by using creative exercises which led to deep contemplation and insight. The students towards the end of the session said the session was an eye opener. The session helped them to understand the difference between gender and sex. The session helped the members to open up and rethink the overgeneralized beliefs about gender roles. The session helped the members to understand the challenges faced by both the gender and the members were motivated to look forward towards approaching life with a healthy perspective.
