In keeping with the Triennial theme for World Suicide Prevention Day, “Changing the Narrative on Suicide” a unified programme was organized at the Town Hall, Mangaluru on 10th September 2024 by Suicide Lifeline, a unit of Susheg Charitable Trust, Mangaluru. The programme aimed to raise awareness about the importance of reducing stigma and encouraging open conversations to prevent suicides, promoting a culture of understanding, support, and hope.
Forty UG and PG students representing Family Cosmos Forum, Forensics Forum, Holistic Wellbeing Forum and Psy forum accompanied by Dr. Rosa Nimmy Mathew, Dr. Sandra Sunitha Lobo and Asst. Students from the College rendered a prayer song with their voices echoing the message of hope. Ms Kushi Valke (III BA) shared her sentiments during the occasion. Four students from the college participated in a slogan contest and a group of UG and PG students participated in the jingle contest. The college team won the first prize in the jingle contest.
