Dr. Saritha D’Souza, Head, the Post Graduate Department of Criminology and Forensic Science, School of Social Work, Mangaluru was a resource person to deliver a virtual session on the topic ‘Pre-requisites and Career Prospects in Forensic Psychology’ for the Undergraduate Psychology students of Christ (deemed to be) University, Bengaluru via Google meet platform. The session was organized by the Department of Psychology on 27th October 2023 at 10am. The aim of the session was to provide insight into the job prospects for Psychology students in the correctional setup. The main aspects covered during the session was concept of Forensic Psychology, its significance, role of Forensic Psychologists, Institutions in India offering Forensic Psychology as a specialization and the qualification of Forensic Psychologist. Further there was interaction between the speaker and the students based on the queries put forth. Students expressed that the session was informative and interactive.
