Medical and Psychiatric Social Work prepares students to equip themselves with competencies to serve in the health field. It seeks to impart a holistic perspective of health and enhance skills in evidence based and culturally competent Pycho-Social Intervention with individuals, families, couples, Groups and communities.
The Family Cosmos Forum is a Unique extra-curricular platform provided for students specializing in the Medical and Psychiatric social work and family and child welfare. The forum started with a rationale that all components such s health, counselling and holistic wellbeing ought to be the cause for all interventions. The forum helps students understand and deal with various social problems . Family Cosmos Forum organizes a number of programmes that help students build their skills in responding to the needs of society and enhance social relationships.
