On the occasion of Teacher’s Day, the students of the Post Graduate Department of Criminology and Forensic Science had organised a programme for their faculties on 5th September 2023 at 1.30 pm in the PG department of CFS on the theme ‘GURUTSAV’. The main purpose of the programme was to express the gratitude, appreciation for the hard work, commitment, and contributions of the teachers.
The programme began with an introductory note delivered by Ms. Vedhashini M Gowda on the history and significance of teacher’s day which is celebrated to remember the birth anniversary of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. Further, Ms. Nelisha Coutinho, second year student of MSc CFS formally welcomed Dr Saritha D’Souza, Head of the Department followed by other faculties Mr. Roshan D’ Souza, Mr. Niketh P. S and Ms. Athira V J. To make the celebration joyful various activities were conducted and winners were awarded.
Dr. Saritha D’ Souza, Head of the Department appreciated the efforts and initiation taken by the students to organize the programme within a limited time. Other faculties also expressed their thoughts for students warm gesture. As a token of gratitude for their service, a photo frame, flower and pens were given to all the faculties. The programme concluded with a cutting of cake at 3.00pm. Ms. Vedhashini M Gowda first year student compered the whole event. Altogether, 38 students and 4 faculties were present on this occasion. Ms. Jyothsna, student of Second year MSc CFS cum Media coordinator of the department drafted the report.
