School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya has invited World Vision India to orient the students on child sponsorship at School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya, Mangalore on the 31st of August 2019.
Ms.Natasha Vidion, District Co-ordinator , World Vision, India in Dakshina Kannada and Mr.Dhanush, District facilitator , World Vision India Dakshina kannada, and Dr.Jenis Mary, Vice Principal, School of Social work, Roshni Nilaya inaugurated the programme on Saturday 31st September at 10.00 a.m.at Maria Paiva Cuceuiro Hall.
The programme began with a prayer song rendered by Mr.Anil Pinto, student of II year, Dr. Jenis Mary welcomed the gathering and Mr.Gavynn Britto, student of II year M.Sw compered the programme.
Introducing , World Vision India, Ms.Natasha Vision said that it is a U.S based global Humanitarian Organization dedicated to help children, families and communities caught up in the nest of poverty, hopelessness and exploitation. Operating actively in 24 states in India, World Vision has successfully addressed the issues of the children through area development programmes (adps) throughout India.
Speaking on child sponsporship, she said it is one of the best ways to give children a better life and future.
Sponsoring a child through World Vision India is one of the most effective, inspiring and rewarding ways to help children. She stated “You will be doing much more than helping to meet children’s basic needs- you’ll also be improving the lives of many other vulnerable children.” when you sponsor a child, through World Vision India, you will receive a photograph of your sponsored child, information about your child, child’s family and community.
The programme concluded with the Vote of Thanks rendered by Mr.Ratan Crasta, student of II year M.SW.
