To mark the 4th Annual Transgenders Day, Parivarthan Charitable Trust in collaboration with Karnataka Journalists Union DK Committee and School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya Mangaluru jointly organised a Seminar on"Role of Media in Providing Social Justice to Transgenders"on March 12th 2020 at 10.30 am in Roshni Nilaya Auditorium.

Entrepreneur, Former Chairman of Cashew Export Promotion Council of India and Federation of Indian Export Organisation were the Chief Guests for the day.
The programme was presided by Dr. Juliet C. J, Principal School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya. Dignitaries inaugurated the event by letting the Diyas float on water as a potrayal of true freedom and liberty which indicates the light of knowledge that has been set free which designates the virtue of emancipation and deliverance from all kinds of struggle faced by the trans people in our society. This light indicated the symbol of reaching out to all those in the darkness to let them rise again with pride and dignity.
Shri. S P Chengappa, ,Senior Advocate and former President of Mangaluru Bar Association was the Resource Person for the session. He spoke about the ‘Role of Media in Providing Social Justice to Transgenders” and he advanced the knowledge in understanding the rights of the transgenders.
