Department of Criminology, School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya organised a session on ‘Drug Free Campus’ on 11th November 2021.

The resource person of the session was Dr. Prashanth Bhat, Assistant Professor in Economics, Canara College, Mangalore. The speaker spoke about prioritising one’s health and fitness over drugs and other substances. It is very important of equipping ourselves with good habits to keep away from bad influences. He gave the students information on drugs and its effects and also its effects on the environment and other people. He also mentioned its lasting effects and the drugs presence inside a person. Mr. Ganesh also highlighted the role of youth in curbing the drug menace in Mangaluru City by raising the voice against this evil by joining the hands with the police.The resource talk on the topic has been well appreciated, effective and has enlightened our students. The session was attended by the students of 1st BA.
