As part of the Crime Prevention Month 2021 Department of Criminology, School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya in collaboration with Mangaluru City police performed Street play at various locations of Mangaluru City like Sultan Road Kankanady, Kadri Temple and Kadri Park for Public on 29th December 2021.

The Street Play was performed on various forms of crime like Harassment in the public transport, Drug Abuse and ill effects of drug use, chain snatching, fake policing, eve teasing, the evils of the cyber space and lastly the outcome of rash and negligent driving. The students of the Street play team also made the public aware on how to prevent such situations in future.

The play came to an end with a collection of beneficial slogans delivered to the public by the students.

Police Inspector of Mangaluru East Police station Shri. Savithr Tej thanked the team and Staff for performing the play in 13 locations of Mangaluru City and the efforts in reaching out to the general public.

The street play was greatly appreciated by the officials and general public gathered.
