As a part of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Department of Criminology, School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya, Mangaluru and NITTE (Deemed to be University), Faculty of Biological Science, Nitte University Centre for Science Education and Research, Deralakatte, Mangaluru a half-day workshop on the role of hair in crime detection was held at the School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya, Mangaluru for B.Sc. (Hons.) Biomedical Science students on August 19, 2023.The significance of hair in the investigation of crimes was explained to students, and various studies were undertaken on hair evidence to determine the source of certain crimes. Students received a hands-on demonstration of the hair examination process. Fifty-three Students participated in the session.
