Ethiopian Forensic Residents were posted in the UG Department of Criminology, School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya as it was a part of their advanced training programme. The students were exposed to different sections of Forensic Science Laboratory. They were given a practical exposure on Fingerprints and Crime Scene investigation. Practical demonstration on recording, developing and lifting of fingerprints from the simulated evidence found in the crime scene was provided to the students.
The following day they were given hands- on- experience on crime scene investigation like inspection, sketching, reconstruction and handling of different evidences found in the Crime Scene. As a part of the field exposure, they were taken to Barke Police Station to understand the functions of a Police Station and they also visited the Mangaluru District Prison. Students had an interaction with the Superintendent of Prison and were exposed to the functioning of the Prison.
