UG department of criminology has organised programs in different institutions creating awareness among students and general public about the effects of drug abuse.

1. Students of BA participated and had put up a skit on awareness of various crimes in the Crime Prevention program organised by NSS unit of Bharthi college, Vivekananda Road, Padavu, Mangaluru in Collaboration with Economic and Narcotic Crime Police Station, Pandeshwar, Mangaluru  on 28th January 2019.

1. A awareness talk on “Drug Abuse and its Effects” was organised for first year students of the college on 17th June 2019 in the college auditorium. The resource persons for the session were Mr. Guru Prasad, and Mr. Sharun,members of Narcotic Anonymous, Mangaluru .They sensitised  students on the adverse impact of drugs in life by sharing their life experiences.

1. The International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking was observed on 26th June 2019 in the college assembly. Ms.Shravya M highlighted the relevance of the day and video clip about awareness of Drug abuse was screened.

1. Students of Final year BA criminology participated in “The International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking” programme conducted by Mangaluru city Police on 26th June 2019 at 11 a.m in Town hall, Hampankatta, Mangaluru. Students of final and second year performed a creative skit depicting the real-life implications of drug use which created the lasting impression on the gathering.

1. Department of criminology in Collaboration with Economic and Narcotic Crime Police Station, Pandeshwar, Mangaluru conducted a session on  ‘‘Drug Abuse and its effects’’ for the students Govt P.u College Building, Car Street, Mangaluru  on 10th July  2019.

Final and second year students of criminology participated and had put up a awareness program on Drug Abuse for parents and students which organised by Brilliant PU College, Kodailbail, Mangaluru in Collaboration with Economic and Narcotic Crime Police Station, Pandeshwar, Mangaluru  on 13th July 2019.

1. Mufeeda Sultana of III BA criminology gave an awareness talk on “Effects of Drug Abuse” to the students of B.E.M PU College, Car Street Mangaluru on 17th July 2019.

1. Department of criminology conducted a session on ‘‘Drug Abuse and its effects  and Ragging and its consequences’’ for the students First grade college, Vittal on 27th July 2019.
