On 12th March 2024, a lecture on managing finances was held in the Seminar Hall at 2:30 pm for around fifty students of II and III BW. Ms. Sapna Shenoy, an investment services professional, addressed the students on the importance of saving and investing money.
Ms. Shenoy did an excellent job of simplifying complex financial concepts into easily digestible steps. She guided the students on how to take small, manageable steps toward saving and investing, with a special focus on mutual funds. The mention of tax-exempt schemes captured the students' attention, and she encouraged them to consider investing in such schemes once they begin earning.
She also touched upon crucial topics like inflation, as well as the fluctuations in stocks and shares. Through a series of relatable anecdotes, Ms. Shenoy inspired the students, motivating them to start thinking about their financial future.
This lecture on financial literacy made a significant impact on the students, shifting the way they approach managing money.
