NSS (National Service Scheme) - Events

On the occasion of World Environment Day, NSS unit of School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya organized a short program on the 5th of June, 2024. The program commenced at 12:15pm outside the Auditorium in the campus. The chief guest of the day Assoc. Prof. Registrar (Evaluation) Vineetha K. along with Dean Student Progression Ms. Sarik Ankitha, Physical Director Mr. Sandeep U., Asst. Prof. Veena B.K., Youth Red Cross Program Officer Mrs. Anusuya Kamath, NSS Program Officer Mr. Obanath and Asst, NSS Program Officer Ms. Roshini Monica Goveas graced the occasion with their presence.

NSS Program Officer Mr. Obanath welcomed the gathering, this was followed by planting a sapling in the campus to commemorate the importance of this day. Chief guest of the day Assoc. Prof. Registrar (Evaluation) Vineetha K. who sets an example by being a part of many environmental conservational and developmental initiatives, addressed the gathering. She stressed on the importance of planting a sapling, taking care for its nourishment and thus celebrating the true essence of environment every day. She encouraged the students to involve themselves in simple acts of environment conservation and concluded her message by saying, “We have one land, protecting it is in our hand”. NSS Leader Ms. Navya K proposed the vote of thanks. The program ended at 12:50pm.
