A one-day National Service Scheme (NSS) camp was successfully conducted at Govt. High School, Attavara, aiming to instill social responsibility, community service, and environmental awareness among students. A total of 65 NSs volunteers participated in this camp. The day began with registration at 9:00 AM, followed by an assembly and NSS prayer. The students then engaged in community service from 9:45 AM to 11:00 AM and 11:15 AM to 1:30 PM, with a 15-minute juice break in between. The Activities of the day included:
- Tree planting, contributing to environmental conservation
- Cleaning the surrounding areas, promoting community hygiene
The camp effectively raised awareness about health and hygiene among students, beautifying the school campus and instilling a sense of responsibility among participants. After a lunch break from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM and a short break from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM, students resumed work from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM. 4pm to 4.30pm group activities. 4.30 pm Tea snacks were given to the volunteers. On 5pm camp ended by National Anthem.
The one-day NSS camp at Attavara School was a rewarding experience, achieving its goals of promoting community service and fostering teamwork. The camp was successfully led by Mr. Obanath, NSS Programme Officer, and Ms. Colin and Mrs. Deepika Sanil, Assistant Programme Officers.
