On September 20,2024 Thursday, five NSS volunteers Ms.Sharanya Shetty (II BSW), Mr. Renil (II BSW), Ms. Mahalekshmi (II BA), Ms. Fasahath Kulsum (I BA) and Ms. Sathwi (I BA) attended a Seminar on 'Relevance of Gandhi's ideology to today's youth' at University college, Hampankatta Mangalore. The Chief Guest of this seminar was Sri UT. Khadar, The honourable speaker of Karnataka Legislative Assembly. The program was Inaugurated by Sri. Tushar Gandhi the great grandson of Mahatma Gandhi who later on gave the lecture on the relevance of Gandhi’s ideology for todays youth. At the seminar a book written by Dr. Shantharam Shetty Pro Vice Chancellor, Nitte University, titled "On the trail of Gandhi's footsteps" was also released. The Seminar successfully emphasized the significance of Gandhi's Ideas and value education.
