A session on the functions of Krishi Vignan Kendra (Farm Science Centre) and a practical session on planting paddy sapling was organized in KVK.

No. of Participants: 30 students from I and II year

Objectives:

To understand the functions and significance of Krishi Vignan Kendra (Farm Science Centre) in developing rural India.
To gain an understanding on the issues of farmers as well as the importance of agriculture and other allied activities.

Outcomes:

Students understood the functions and relevance of Krishi Vignan Kendra in promoting Rural Development.
Students gained knowledge on hard work of farmers, issues of food security and importance of agriculture/farming.
