Ø Few 3rd BA Rural Development students participated in a Focused Group Discussion on Child Protection held in Sullia in collaboration with Adelaide Center for Research and Documentations on 26th July 2013. Students voluntarily took responsibility of consolidating the report of entire process.
Ø A talk was organized on Land Reforms of 2nd BA students on 13th August ’13 by Mr. Anil Dhanty of MSW Department of the college.
Ø Prof. Vinita Rai, faculty of BSW department delivered an expert talk on Solid Waste Management with reference to Rural Development to 3rd BA students on (17th September ‘13)
Ø Organised an exposure visit to Farm Science Centre (Krishi Vignan Kendra) for 2nd and 3rd year students to get oriented to organic farming, agriculture, vermin compost, ornamental fishing, animal husbandry, and other related topics on 20th September ’13.

Ø Facilitated a study tour for 3rd year students to Namma Bhoomi, Kundapur on 31st October ’13. The students got practical exposure towards importance of local governance/ Panchayat Raj Institutions, People’s participation in governance, Child rights, organic farming, rural occupations/products, eco-friendly construction technologies, Bio-gas, vermi compost, animal husbandry, organic farming, etc.
Ø Organised a guest lecture by Avinand, one among the 15 MSW students who took part in providing psycho-social support to the victims of Uttarakand disaster. He shared his experiences with a video documentary and real life case studies/stories while being with the victims and the kind of support they provided to them.
