On January 30, 2025, the SAHAYOG Forum of the BSW Department School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya, Mangalore, organized an Extension Service Program to commemorate Peace Day. The event was held from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM and engaged 37 students from St. Ann’s Kannada Medium School, Pandeshwar, Mangaluru in meaningful discussions and activities centered on peace.
The session was led by Ms. Prameela, a dedicated social worker from Katipalla, who inspired the young students with her insights on fostering harmony and understanding in society. The program was efficiently organized by Mr. Geo Jin Jose (II BSW), Ms. Alvita D’Souza (II BSW), and Sr. Shalini (I BSW) under the guidance of Ms. Anusuya Kamath, Assistant Professor and Field Supervisor from the BSW Department. The initiative aimed to instil values of peace, unity, and social responsibility among the students, making the day both educational and impactful.
