On Friday, February 14, 2025, the SAHAYOG Forum of the BSW Department in association with Department of MSc Counselling of School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya, Mangalore, conducted an Extension Service Programme on Protection and Security in Cases of Violence, Crime, and Accidents for the 369 students of St. Mary’s English Higher Primary School, Falnir. The session was held from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM.
The session was facilitated by Ms. D.S. Raksha, a M.Sc. Counselling student. The objective of the session was to equip students with knowledge about basic safety practices, self-protection techniques, and how to respond effectively in emergencies. The resource person led an engaging and interactive session, incorporating real-life examples, practical safety tips, and insights into available support systems. The programme was organized by BSW students Mr. Lauren Jayapreeth Kotai and Ms. Neena Mathew, under the guidance of Mrs. Anusuya Kamath, Assistant Professor, BSW Department.
