Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya, Mangaluru in association with IQAC of Mangala College of Allied Health Sciences, Mangaluru organised a workshop on 'Teacher Effectiveness towards Genz Learners' on Saturday, 2nd September, 2023. The program began at 9:15 am with a prayer led by the faculty of Mangala College of Allied Health Sciences, Mangaluru. The workshop was symbolically inaugurated with the lighting of the lamp by the Principal, Prof. Pratijna Suhasini G.R., and the IQAC Coordinator Mr. Karthik G. Kamath K. of Mangala College of Allied Health Sciences, Vice Principal Dr. Jenis Mary and IQAC Coordinator Assoc. Prof. Cecilia Farida Goveas of School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya, and facilitator of the Workshop Dr. Rosa Nimmy Mathew, HoD, Department of Counselling, School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya. Asst. Prof. Roshini Monica Goveas compered the inaugural session.

The Workshop was facilitated by Dr. Rosa Nimmy Mathew with an icebreaker. This was followed by a group activity based on a checklist about the Genz learners. Dr. Rosa Mathew facilitated discussions and highlighted on understanding the nature of Genz and the factors contributing to change among Genz. The facilitator also conducted activities like Chinese Whispers and decoding the Genz language. The workshop also highlighted understanding the Genz before communicating with them. The participants came up with strategies to enhance the learning process in the classroom. Strategies to enhance communication were also discussed. A total of 27 faculty from Mangala College of Allied Health Sciences, Mangaluru benefitted from the workshop.
