Dean-Students’ Progression
Dean-Students’ Progression is in charge of the holistic development of undergraduate and postgraduate students for a meaningful life and gainful employment.
Goals
- Optimizing scores in Criterion-V –Student Support and Progression and Criterion-VII-Institutional Values and Best Practices by working in collaboration with student welfare officers and heads of all the departments to secure a high CGPA.
- Leading the Institute to be a topper in the ranking survey conducted by the NIRF, Outlook, Hindu, and other Higher Education-related surveys.
- Networking with Dean- Academics and Dean- Administration.
Responsibilities
- To hold monthly meetings with Student welfare officers, Physical Education Director, NSS officers, Placement officer, and the Students’ Council towards executing the programmes for an academic year.
- To work with Student welfare officers and organize Annual Conferences from different departments/Fora.
- To work with the placement officer for job placements, block placements, and internships of students.
- To organize regular academic, co-curricular, and sports activities along with the concerned faculty and Students’ Council of all the programmes.
- To facilitate the Grievances Redressal cell, Mentor and Mentee programmes, and Counselling services for student’s well-being.
- To network with the Government and private agencies to access scholarships and freeships available for the students.
- To empower the student community to strengthen their value system and to facilitate best practices at the individual and institutional levels.
- To involve in Alumni engagement-related activities for academic support, resource mobilization, and annual events.
Reporting and Documentation
- Updating the Principal and the Vice-Principal once a month on the assigned responsibilities.
- Furnishing documents (With the Heads of Departments), updating (At the Dean’s Desk), submitting (IQAC Meeting), and uploading (on the college website) the documents of all the above.
Work Team: Student Welfare Officers, Students’ Council, and the student community.
