Holistic Well Being (Counselling) Forum Events

The department of M.Sc Counseling, School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya Mangluru in collaboration with Yenepoya Department of Mental Health Nursing and Suicide Life line, a unit of Susheg Charitable trust observed the World Suicide Prevention Day at Yenepoya Pre-University College Jeppinamogaru, Mangaluru on 15th September, 2022. Dr. Lavina Noronha, the coordinator of the Mangalore Suicide Life line was the chief guest. She delivered an inspiring and informative talk on the theme ‘Creating Hope through Action’. Mr. Uzwal Rodney Menezes the Principal of the Yenepoya PU College, Mangaluru spoke on the importance of the observation of suicide prevention day. The 2nd year Msc Counseling students Mr. Adarsh MV, Ms. Ilahaam Shaik, Ms. Mariyam Lishana, Ms. Nasreena Nazar, Ms. Awwamma Jusaira, Ms. Raksha K, Ms. Prathiksha, Ms. Saphia Bustan, Ms. Shikha Hedge and Ms. Sneha VK conducted the Mental Health screening for 80 PU students and Dr. Wilsy Francis, Assistant Professor of the Counseling Department was one of the counselors who engaged in providing counseling service to the referred students.
