On March 21st, 2025, the I2E Forum of Secretarial Practice hosted a career guidance session for I BA students, with 20 students and 3 faculty members. The session was led by Sujay Plavan D’Souza, an esteemed alumnus of the School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya, and an HR professional at a renowned firm.
Sujay shared valuable insights on career opportunities in roles like Personal Assistant (PA) and Accountant, highlighting that Secretarial Practice graduates have an edge in securing well-paying positions, especially in Bangalore, where salaries tend to be higher.
He emphasized the importance of developing key skills such as typing speed, proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and an understanding of labor laws for those pursuing HR roles. Sujay also guided students on building ATS-friendly resumes using MS Word templates, offering practical tips for standing out in today’s digital job market.
