M.Sc. Counseling department organized an ‘outing day’ for the students on 5th December, 2022 in Trivandrum. The group comprised of 40 students and three faculties. The students did some sightseeing in Trivandram, visited “Vettukad Church” many offered the prayer and observed the architecture. This church is also known as Madre De Deus Church and it’s 500 years old. People from parts of Kerala and world visit this place. There is beach facing the church the students spent some time in the beach.
Then they visited to the “Kanakakunnu Kottaram” which is surrounded by a vast garden .The students went around the garden enjoyed the beauty of the nature which gave them a relaxing experiencing. They also clicked some photographs. After having had lunch in a famous restaurant at Trivandrum, we proceeded to visit the ancient Dargah dedicated to Beema Umma who was a family member of Prophet Mohammed and believed to have spiritual powers. The Dargah is named as “Beemapally”. After spending some time around the Beemapally we headed to “Kovalam Beach” where we enjoyed water games, shopping and capturing the photographs. After having a pleasant and enjoyable day together we left to Trivandram central railway station and reached Mangaluru central the next day. The day was filled with a lot of beautiful memories.
