Farewell is celebrated not just to say goodbye to the friends, as they step into a new realm of life; rather it is a commemoration to celebrate all the good times together and wishing the best for the future.
On the pleasant afternoon of 2nd June 2023, inside the Maria Paiva Hall the juniors of the MSc Counseling Department hosted a grant farewell function to their seniors (2021-2023 batch) with the theme ‘Au Revoir’ (goodbye until we meet again). The seniors were given a floral welcome to the well -decorated hall accompanied by the HOD and faculty of the department. The programme commenced with a prayer song, invoking the divine presence followed by welcome speech by Ms. Bhavya. As part of the entertainment, the juniors organized innumerable fun-filled indoor games and mesmeric dances which dazed the hall with remarkable joy and merry. The incredible and indelible memories of the time spent in college was captured and displayed on the occasion. The presentation evoked great nostalgia as the students reminisced on the joyous moments. The outgoing students shared their memories and experiences in Roshni Nilaya. They talked about how the counseling program shaped them to be what they are today and how it would help their future endeavors. They also expressed their gratitude to the faculty for accompanying them in their academic journey. The outgoing batch was also bestowed with a memento, marking the glowing, cherished bond of togetherness in the department of counseling. The program wound up with the touching and inspiring speech by HOD Dr. Rosa N Mathew, wherein she spoke about the outstanding qualities of each one of them and how they have grown and bloomed over the years, crossing over all the struggles of academic life. She concluded her speech wishing them the very best.
