An orientation programme for the newly admitted students along with their parents of all three Post graduation departments was organised on Monday, September 12, 2022 in the Seminar Hall of Social Work Block for the new academic year 2022-2023. The program began at 9:30 am after the registration process and it was compered by Mrs Anuradha Shetty, Asst professor, Post graduation dept of Social Work.

The programme began with a soulful prayer by the second year students. Dr Juliet CJ, Principal, welcomed the gathering along with the presidential address. A brief history of the Institution along with significant milestones was presented by Dr Jenis Mary, Vice Principal through a PowerPoint presentation. Thereafter, all the faculties (teaching and non-teaching) introduced themselves along with their credentials to the gathering.

Dr Meena Monteiro, Dr Rosa Nimmay Mathew and Dr Saritha D’Souza presented brief presentations on MSW, MSc Counselling and MSc Criminology and Forensic Science departments, respectively.

Students were oriented on Institutional Code of conduct by Dr Sebastian KV, Dean Academics. Ms Vineetha K., Controller of Examination addressed the newly admitted students on autonomy status, attendance, the other various processes of assessments and examinations.

Ms Ancilla D’Cunha, Library Assistant, spoke to students on the various aspects about utilizing library facilities and rules to be followed.

The programme concluded with vote of thanks and a campus walk was facilitated by the respective welfare officers of each department as a post lunch session.
