Two postgraduate students specializing in Community Development from the Department of Social Work have been awarded a research grant by the Association of Public Health Technologists (APT) under the D. Ashwathlakshmama Initiative for Women’s Health Advancement through the Digital Health Network. Joslin Juvav Siddi will conduct a study titled A Comprehensive Study on Reproductive Health Challenges among Siddi Women in Uttara Kannada, while Supriya M.A. will focus on Government Interventions on Menstrual Hygiene with Special Reference to the Maitri Menstrual Cup Scheme – Availability and Acceptance by Adolescent Girls. Dr. Sudhir Prabhu, Member-Secretary of APT, presented the grant cheque to the students in the presence of Dr. Sophia N. Fernandes, Principal, and Mrs. Anuradha, Assistant Professor of the PG Department of Social Work, at the School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya, on January 6, 2025.
