The PG Department of Social Work, in collaboration with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), organized a guest lecture on “Introduction to Human Resource Management” for the first-year MSW students, 2024-2026. The lecture promptly began at 9.30 am on Thursday, 18th, July 2024 in the first-year classroom. Mr Ronald Mascarenhas, our Alumni, HR Consultant Syngene International Limited Mangaluru, served as the esteemed resource person.
The Guest Lecture commenced with an introduction and note of welcome by Dr. Sebastian KV, Dean of Research and coordinator of the Department of the PM & IR. Mr Mascarenhas’ input was enlightening, filled with his vast knowledge and work experience in various reputed organisations. Mr. Ronald stressed the areas of job opportunities, skills, critical thinking, competencies and current trends in social work. Mr. Ronald encouraged the participants to develop communication skills, as it is one of the finest requirements to stay on in the profession.
The guest lecture concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Asst. Prof Jinsa Joseph, extending gratitude to Mr Ronald Mascarenhas for his invaluable contributions. The wonderful interactive lecture ended at 1.10 pm. A total of 45 participants benefited from it.
