The students of MSW had an awareness session on Oral Health Care, on 30th January 2019, Wednesday, at School of Social Work Roshni Nilaya, by the Medical professionals of Manipal Medical College. The team of dentists led by Dr.Supriya addressed the students on the topic. The speakers gave inputs regarding the importance of oral health care and dental care among infants, children and aged people. They also explained various causes for oral fungal infections, tooth decay etc. The students got guidance for oral health care and the team also suggested the students of social work to create awareness among the people of the community regarding it during their fieldwork since oral care and hygiene is neglected by most of the people in their daily life. It was a very useful and informative session for the students for self-dental care and also to guide others to take care of their dental health.
