A special seminar on "Exploring Career Pathways and Employment Options" was organized by department of criminology for 55 final year BA students on February 19th, 2024, at the School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya by Mr. Akshath from the Triumphant Institute of Management Education (TIME) led the session, which commenced with discussions on the future plans of the students, whether pursuing further studies or entering the workforce. This discussion naturally segued into considering preferences between government and private sector employment post-education, setting the stage for the session's main topic.
The discussion primarily centered on fields like Banking and MBA, which offer job security, flexible working hours, retirement benefits, and opportunities for advancement.
The session provided insight into the various banking exams conducted in India by institutions such as IBPS, SBI, and Karnataka Bank for roles like Probationary Officers (PO) and clerical officers. Details regarding the exam structure, including the preliminary exam, main exam, and final interview, were covered, along with topics like reasoning, quantitative aptitude, English, and relevant subjects like Indian economics and business. The session also included recommendations for study materials and historical cut-off marks for reference.
Students were encouraged to consider Banking or pursuing an MBA as viable career options, with TIME offering comprehensive training and guidance from experienced faculty members.
