Crimino-Vision Events

On March 6, 2024, 22 students of II BA Criminology and Forensic Science went on a field exposure to Mangalore District Prison led by Ms. Sarik Ankita, Head of the Department. They were guided by Dr. Denis D'Souza, the Prison's Psychiatric Counsellor, and got to explore different aspects of the prison, including its premises and an old, non-functional block.

Assistant Superintendent Rajendra conducted an informative session, answering questions with great insight, and also showed the students around the prison garden and newly established nursery. Superintendent B. T. Obaleshappa discussed prisoner rehabilitation intricacies and emphasized the importance of correctional administration and educational programs.

The session proved to be both enlightening and educational, offering valuable insights into the workings of the prison system.
