In a captivating exploration of Panjim's security infrastructure, 15 final-year BA students embarked on a journey to the Police Control Room on Monday, April 29th, 2024. Upon arrival, they were immersed in an insightful briefing, unraveling the intricacies of the PCR's functions and operations, illuminating its paramount significance in safeguarding public safety and fortifying security measures.

The students were granted a rare glimpse into the inner workings of emergency response management as they observed the PCR deftly handling distress calls and orchestrating swift assistance—a firsthand insight into the indispensable role emergency response plays in preserving lives and mitigating crises.

With keen eyes, they witnessed the PCR's central command center in full operation, decoding the complexities involved in deploying police personnel and resources with precision. Their understanding deepened as they delved into the PCR's vigilant monitoring of patrol vehicles and personnel across the region, ensuring seamless responses to unfolding incidents.

Forensic Science program at KMC Manipal joined the excursion through a memorandum of understanding (MOU) between KMC Manipal and the School of Social Work. Their participation enriched the exchange of insights and expertise, fostering a holistic learning environment.
