National Service Scheme (NSS)

Ms Anusuya Shenoy, NSS Programme Officer  

·         NSS Volunteers attended the National Yoga Day celebration at Swami Vivekananda Auditorium, Ramakrishna Mutt, Mangalore on June 21, 2015.

·         An orientation for the first year NSS volunteers by Mr. Sampath Kumar (NSS Officer), Karavali Institute of Fashion Design was organized on July 20, 2015.

·         NSS for the academic year 2015-2016  was inaugurated in the college Auditorium by the Registrar (E) Dr laxmi Narayana Bhat.P. Oath Taking Ceremony was conducted by Assoc. Prof.Vineetha K,.NSS Coordinator, Mangalore University on July 8, 2015.

·         30 NSS Volunteers did Shramadaan from 8:00am to10:30 am in Amritha college campus, Boloor Mangalore organised by Amala Bharath Team on July 26, 2015.

·         15 members attended  theInauguration of ‘SAINIK BHAVAN’ at Aloysius college, Mangalore on July 26, 2015.

·         Five volunteers attended the programme on Nature Conservation at Milagres Senate Hall, Mangalore on August 29, 2015.

·         The NSS volunteers did Shramadaan in the College Campus like cleaning of reflection park, gardening, cleaning of volleyball court from 29^th to 31^st August 2015.

·         25 NSS volunteers participated in Kesaru Gadde Ota at Allipade village, Bantwal on September 6, 2015.

·         An  awareness talk on Organ donation  was given by the staff of AJ Shetty hospital to NSS volunteers on September 22, 2015.

·         45 NSS volunteers did Shramadaan in Jeevan Daan NGO in association with Sahara student’s association United Christian Association on September 23, 2015.

·         Annual special Camp was held at Kuthyaru, Udupi District. 30 volunteers and 2 faculty participated in the Camp from 14^th to 21^st November 2015.

·         Ms. Thejaswini Poojari NSS Volunteer successfully completed the Adventure Camp at Himachal Pradesh from 16^th to 25^th November 2015.  She trekked 70 Kilometers at a height of 9500 feet.

·         30 NSS Volunteers attended “AIDS Awareness Programme” and also participated in Quiz competition at School of Social Work College, Mangalore on December 1, 2015.

·         7 NSS volunteers participated in National Integration Camp at Bangalore and won the first place in State Level Cultural Competition held from 4^th to 10^th December 2015.

 ·         The NSS volunteers did Shramadaan in the College Campus on December 15, 2015.
