Twenty-six II BA students of Psychology accompanied by Dr. Sandra Sunitha Lobo visited St. Ann’s Home for the Aged, Capitanio, Mangaluru from 3:30 pm to 4:50 pm. on Thursday, 18th April 2024. Sr. Anisha Frank compered the programme.

The students entertained around 28 inmates with a medley of vintage Konkani, Hindi, Tulu and Kannada songs. Besides, students gave a dance performance. Games were conducted and prizes were distributed. The highlights of the visit were celebrating one of the inmate’s 74th birthday and taking finger imprints of all the inmates on a canvas titled ‘Tree of Life’ which was gifted to Rev. Sr. Jyothi. Keith D’Souza delivered the vote of thanks and a warm appreciation to us was offered by one of the inmates.

The outreach programme was an exercise to introspect and appreciate stages of life besides expressing solidarity with the institutionalized elderly. A communitarian spirit was evoked and students engaged in works of charity by donating groceries, soaps, washing detergents, coffee powder & milk powder.
