Department of Rural Development in Association with United Way Mumbai organized an Awareness Program on Plastic Waste Management on Friday, 14th February 2025 at College Auditorium. The Resource Person of the session was Ms Gopika Seetharam, Project Officer, United Way Mumbai.

The session started highlighting the plastic waste as a global concern to the entire humanity. How plastic causes variety of other pollutions was also emphasized. During the interactive session with the students various ways to reduce plastic waste were discussed like use of reusable bags, use of reusable bottles, Avoiding single use plastic, choosing eco-friendly products etc,. The Resource person also highlighted the responsibility of the students to create the awareness in the society to make sure plastic free environment for the next generation. Dr Prashanth, Head of the Department of Rural Development organized the session. A total of 60 students participated in this session.
