The session was conducted by the II BSW student, Anima Ming who had attended the workshop on the same topic earlier. She delivered the session through a power presentation. She had an interaction with the students on the topic tobacco control. The students participated actively. They were aware of the use of tobacco because some students as young as they are, were victim of tobacco use and smoking because of their home environment. The students knew that the smokers and tobacco users suffer but were ignorant of this and thus, they were at a greater risk .They had many doubts and questions regarding the users on the public places.
The Resource Person clarified their doubts. They realised that they were also at great risk, so they took a pledge that they would not become victims of tobacco usage and would also help others to stop.
The Headmistress expressed her happiness and appreciation to the students of BSW for taking the initiative. She also cited an example of her neighbour who used tobacco and was now suffering from cancer.
