On September 25, 2024, the SAHAYOG Forum of the Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) department, School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya, Mangalore, organized an Extension Service Programme on "The Importance of Self-Love." The objective of this session was to introduce primary students to the concept of self-love, helping them build a foundation for self-worth, positive self-image, and emotional resilience. This session aimed to empower young children by fostering self-acceptance and promoting a sense of inner confidence. This session was held for 300 primary students at St. Mary’s English Higher Primary School, Falnir, Mangalore and commenced at 9:00 a.m. The session was led by Ms. Nahda Hanan, a postgraduate student from the MSc Counselling program at Roshni Nilaya. The event was coordinated by Ms. Neena Mathew, a second-year BSW student, and Mr. Lauren Jayapreeth Kotai, a first-year BSW student, under the supervision of Mrs. Anusuya Kamath, Field Supervisor and Assistant Professor in the BSW department at Roshni Nilaya.
