On September 26, 2024, the SAHAYOG Forum of the BSW Department, School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya, Mangalore, conducted an Extension Service Program focused on Cyber Attacks and Cyber Security for 43 lower primary students from the West Bolar Kannada Medium Government School, Mangalore the session, which began at 1:30 pm, featured Mr. Hari Prasad, a second-year postgraduate student in Cyber Forensics at Yenapoya (Deemed to be University), Mangalore, as the resource person. The program aimed to increase awareness of cyber-attack risks among young students, introduce essential online safety practices, and equip them with knowledge to protect themselves in the digital world. By fostering a sense of responsibility and caution in internet use, the session helped children appreciate the importance of cyber security from an early age. The event was organized by second-year BSW students Mr. Pavan, Ms. Brinelle, and Mr. Rahul, as well as first-year BSW student Ms. Alvisha, under the guidance of Field Supervisor Dr. Sophia N. Fernandez, Principal of the School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya.
