Sahayog Events

The SAHAYOG Forum of the Bachelor of Social Work Department, School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya, Mangalore, conducted an Extension Service Programme on “The Influence of Mobile Phones on Psychological Well-being” on 28th February 2025 at Sri Venkataramana Primary School, Kulai, at 10:00 AM. The session was attended by 80 students from Grades 5 to 7.

The programme began with an introduction of the resource person, Ms. Greeshma V S, by the school principal, Mr. Gopal. Ms. Greeshma, a Psychology student, delivered a session highlighting the uses of social media, along with its positive and negative impacts on psychological well-being, while emphasizing the importance of mindful usage.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by a faculty member Madappa madara, expressing gratitude to the resource person, participants, and organizers. The event was coordinated by Ms. Haleema, Ms. Kavitha L, Ms. Anjana, and Mr. Sanketh from III BSW, under the guidance of Mrs. Deepika Sanil, Assistant Professor and Field Supervisor, BSW Department.
