On 10th March 2023, Friday, Ms Rushila Rebello conducted a session on self-awareness, dignity and respect, team building and leadership for the students of II BA and II BSW.

Ms. Shoba D'Souza from the department of social work introduced the resource person Ms. Rushila Rebello to the students. Before starting the session the resource person asked all the students to clean their surroundings. The session began with meditation wherein all the students meditated. It was followed by a small self-awareness activity where the participants were asked to use three words to describe themselves and pick any one thing from nature which best describes them.

After sharing each other's thoughts, another activity was conducted which involved the students writing something positive on the note stuck on the back of their partners. This activity was designed to let the students realise how unique and significant they are as well as to help them comprehend themselves from the perspectives of others.

The final activity of the morning session was a team game in which each team was given a certain number of balloons, and team leaders were expected to increase those balloons while teammates were asked to guard them. The purpose of this activity was to help people truly understand the ideas of respect and dignity.

The afternoon session was about team building and leadership. Ms Rushila gave students an explanation of the benefits and significance of team building as the session's first topic of discussion. The students were then split into two teams. Initially the team members' task was to determine which animal voices they would use to guide their blindfolded team member towards the goal. The activity taught students how a team's ability to succeed relies on its members' cooperation, support, and solidarity.

The team had to remove their teammates from the spider web without touching the web for the second activity. The objective of this task was to demonstrate the value of excellent teamwork.

The third activity involved learning the value of teammate trust. One team member was made to stand in the middle, and the team members around her were instructed to prevent their fellow team member from falling.

Understanding the value of effective leaders and situational leadership was the day's final activity. During the activity, teammates had to stand on a piece of fabric and turn it upside down without stepping off of it. The students failed on their initial try, but they soon learned from their mistakes and had a situational leader who guided them and helped them successfully finish the work. The session came to a close after a brief exchange of ideas about leaders. The vote of thanks was given by 2nd B.A. student Hitesh D'Souza. A total of 57 students participated in the workshop.
