On Sunday, October 1, 2023, a moving street play on drug awareness was performed by dedicated students at two significant locations: Attavar Katte and the entrance of S L Mathis Park.

Engaging the Community:

  • Attavar Katte Performance (5 PM): The first performance took place at 5 PM at Attavar Katte, captivating the attention of the ward members of St. Peter, St. Paul, Monthi Saibin, Vailankani, and St. Joseph of Milagres Church as well as passers-by along the road.
  • S L Mathis Park Entrance Performance (6 PM): At 6 PM, a second performance was held at the entrance of S L Mathis Park, where the ward members of Milagres, Mother Theresa, Lourdes, Nithyadar, Fatima, Sacred Heart, and Carmel, along with park-goers and local residents, gathered to witness the impactful street play.

Appreciation from the Community:

  • The members of the participating wards and the bystanders wholeheartedly appreciated the powerful performance delivered by the students.

Words of Appreciation:

  • Rev. Fr. Bonaventure Nazareth, the Milagres Parish Priest, expressed his heartfelt appreciation during the event. He commended the students and the college for their outstanding collaboration with the church, highlighting the importance of raising awareness about the harmful effects of drug addiction. Rev. Fr. Nazareth also applauded the unwavering commitment displayed by all parties involved.

Uday Fernandes, Head of the Department of Criminology, Asst. Prof. Sarik Ankita, Head of the Department of Psychology, Dr. Sandra Lobo, Head of the Department of Economics, Assoc.
