The two-day Inter-Collegiate Fest Expressions 2019, Animac – Evoke your inner child was filled with exciting events such as the Ice- Breaker session, Cooking without Fire, Creative Writing, Caricature drawing, Mock Press, Stress Interview, Quiz Competition, Fashion show and a dance competition.
The Valedictory programme began on the 20th of September in the evening. Prof. Juliet C.J., the Principal of the College, Dr Jacintha D’Souza, the Ex-Provincial of the Institution, Mr Pruthviraj Ambar, a renowned actor of the Kannada and Tulu Industry, Mr Sandesh Rai and Ms Sarik Ankitha, the Student Welfare Officer of the School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya graced the occasion with their esteemed presence.Ms Merula Pinto, the General Secretary of the Student Council delivered the welcome speech and the guests were gifted with a plant as a token of appreciation.
The Chief Guest for the evening Mr Pruthviraj Ambar spoke about his first-ever participation in an inter-collegiate fest of his student days having begun at School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya. He asked the students to make the best use of the opportunities available to them in their college days and participate in extra-curricular activities as much as they could as this would then help in the choice of their career.
Dr Jacintha D’Souza stated that the energy and enthusiasm of the last two days of the Fest were fantastic and asked the students to keep the enthusiasm going. The Prize Distribution was conducted by Ms. Cecelia FAreeda, the Head of the Department of Economics. The overall championship was won by the students of St. Aloysius Degree College and the Runners-Up Trophy was bagged by the students of MGM College, Udupi.
This was followed by a video presentation of the making of Expressions 2019, which highlighted the efforts and hard work that had gone into the creation of the two-day events.The feedback session was an inspiring one, as it was full of positivity and appreciation. Mr Mohit from Padua College and Mr Nikhil from the Institute of Nitte expressed their opinions about the fest. The Vote of Thanks was delivered by Ms Nashma Khatija, the Academic Secretary of the Student Council.
