On 21st February 2025, Two Japanese Social Workers, Ms. Yuka One and Ms. Riona Kurano from Danke, which is a Japan based NPO who works for the mentally disabled and elderly people, visited our college to know about how Social Work is being thought at colleges in India and they had orientation about our college and how Social Work curriculum has been thought. They had a detailed conversation with Assistant Professor Ms. Angelin Ebinezar, through which they also understood the Cultural and political differences between these two Countries and it helped them to understand the differences from a social worker’s perspective.
In the evening, they met the Principal of the Institute Dr. Sophia N. Fernandes and the former Principal Dr. Jacinta D’souza and had a brief conversation about the purpose of their visit.
The Following day on 22nd February, both the Delegated had an opportunity to attend Scintilla 2025, a National Conference on the Title “Perceptio”, they attended sessions on Mentalism by Dr. B.S. Mahesh and they also witness the cultural program present by the students.
Later, they had a brief conversation with Dr. Meena Monteiro, Dean PG studies, regarding different Social Work aspects.
