Mr. Niketh P S, Assistant Professor of the Post Graduate Department of Criminology and Forensic Science, School of Social Work, Mangaluru was a resource person in a Workshop on “Crime Scene Management and Security” for the Undergraduate Criminology students of Acharya Institute of Graduate Studies, Bengaluru. The Workshop was organized by the Department of Criminology on 1st June 2024 at 10am. The aim of the Workshop was to provide insight into crime scene investigation and Security. The main aspects covered during the first session was crime scene investigation, its significance, role of Crime Scene Investigator, and the techniques that the investigator should use in the investigation. Later the second session was the practical hands-on training in crime scene investigation through a simulated crime scene. The third session was about the scope and importance of security sector. Further there was an interaction between the speaker and the students based on the queries put forth. All together 200 students participated in the workshop and they expressed that the session was informative and interactive.
