Local name- ಬೆಣ್ಣೆ ಹಣ್ಣು (Benne Hannu)

Botanical name- Persea Americana

Appearance- it is an evergreen tree grown for its nutritious fruit, it has large and dome-shaped oval or elliptical leaves that are 10-30 cm that is 4-12 inches in length arranged in the spiral tips of the branch. Avocados are pear-shaped fruit that grows in evergreen trees. They generally have a rough, green outer skin, buttery flesh, and large seed in the middle. The tree is around 80 feet in height

Origin- Avocado is a tree which is native to Mexico.

Conditions required for Growth- They are grown moderately in warm temperatures (60°-85° F) with moderate humidity, they can tolerate temperature once established, of around 28°F to 32°F. It can be grown in a wide variety of soil except on poorly drained soils as these plants are sensitive to waterlogging. The soil may need to be sandy to accommodate the trees large roots and fast-draining so that the roots do not succumb to the roots of the fungus

Uses- It aids in good health and improves your vision, the lutein content found in this fruit protects the skin from aging, this fruit contains antioxidants, fibers, vitamins, and include a high source of potassium good for the heart, improves skin quality and hair, prevents bad breath, good for digestion. Avocados are a great food when sick because they provide calories, vitamins, and minerals that your body needs. They're also soft, relatively bland, and easy to eat.
